May is Motorcycle Safety Month

With the arrival of spring, more and more motorcyclists hit the roads, making it crucial for both riders and drivers to prioritize safety. This month-long campaign aims to remind everyone about the importance of motorcycle safety and to encourage safe practices on the road. By educating ourselves and others on motorcycle safety, we'll have safe roads and safe rides!

SC Motorcycle Safety Task Force

The South Carolina Motorcycle Safety Task Force (MSTF) is a committee of dedicated safety professionals, law enforcement officers, and motorcyclists who are committed to promoting motorcycle safety across the state. The task force is composed of representatives from various organizations including the South Carolina Department of Public Safety, Highway Patrol, and the Department of Motor Vehicles.

The primary goal of the task force is to reduce the number of motorcycle collisions and fatalities in South Carolina by promoting safe riding practices, educating riders and drivers about the importance of sharing the road, and advocating for legislation that improves motorcycle safety. The members of the task force work year-round to develop and implement strategies that address the unique challenges faced by motorcyclists on the road. MSTF also plays an essential role in organizing and supporting motorcycle safety events across the state. These events include safety demonstrations, training courses, and awareness campaigns that help to raise awareness about motorcycle safety and educate riders and drivers on how to stay safe on the road.
