This course covers the requirements for the establishment, maintenance, and monitoring of a respirator program. Topics include terminology, OSHA standards, NIOSH certification, and medical evaluation recommendations. Program highlights include laboratories on respirator selection, qualitative fit testing, and the use of a large array of respiratory and support equipment for hands-on training. Prerequisites: 21(d) State Consultants: #1500 Basic Onsite Consultation program. Other Federal Agency or Department personnel: Course #6000, or #6010 or demonstrate equivalent knowledge of the OSH Act, procedures, and standards. Private Sector and Other Non-Federal Government personnel: Course #500, #501, #510, or #511.
