IATA/49CFR training is required for any employee involved in Hazardous Material transportation. This includes employees involved in loading/unloading and handling hazardous materials, preparing hazardous materials for shipment, completion of shipping documents, or operating a vehicle used to transport hazardous materials. The class is based on the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and 49 CFR requirements and covers: the HazMat tables, classification of DG, marking/labeling, safety/security, packing/packaging, training requirements, and modal specific operations. The course is conducted during a two-day presentation either at your facility or in a centralized location. Each student must have a copy of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and 49CFR as reference material. A completion certificate is issued to each attendee upon successfully completing the class.
