This brand-new course offers 16-40 hours worth of curriculum, making it an ideal college-level course. Students will learn how to recognize an emergency, act appropriately, and sustain life until professional help arrives. Content includes:
  • Basic life support for breathing and cardiac emergencies
  • Controlling bleeding and managing shock
  • Caring for injuries and medical emergencies
  • Special situations, including behavioral emergencies, pregnancy and
    childbirth, and remote location first aid.
Plus, appendices offer information on Advanced Resuscitation Techniques and disaster preparedness.
