Knowing how to respond to a first aid or CPR emergency is one of the most important skills a person can possess. The Standard First Aid and CPR course meets the OSHA requirements and is your tool for training employees or the general public on the latest skills, techniques and expertise in life-saving procedures. The practice and feedback of using related skills in a realistic situation is integrated into the actual teaching experience.

This course can only be taught by certified instructors and you must register your organization as a National Safety Council Emergency Care Training Center to begin delivering training.

During this course you will learn new methods that involve, influence and facilitate adult learning while refining your teaching skills. The course covers a proven, standardized method of teaching first aid and CPR with high effectiveness, and you will be provided with the reasons and dynamics behind each topic or visual presentation. The Standard First Aid and CPR course topics include: Breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, infants and children, identifying and caring for bleeding, sudden illnesses and injuries, preventing disease transmission, and an introduction to Automatic External Defibrillators (AEDs).

Upon successful completion, you will become certified to teach this course and receive the complete instructor certification package with the Standard First Aid and CPR Instructor Resource Manuals, student manuals and instructor guide.
