OSHA 501:Trainer course in Occupational Safety and Health Standards for General Industry

This course is designed to prepare participants to develop, present, and critique effective occupational safety and health training programs based on OSHA 29 CFR Part 1910 regulations.
Special emphasis is placed on presentation of topics required in the OSHA 10- and 30-Hour general industry outreach training program, using a variety of training resources, and sharing of best practices in outreach training.
Prerequisites:
Completion of OSHA 511 and five years of general industry safety experience.
These programs are only available to National Safety Council members.

Prerequisite: OSHA 501
This course is a valuable refresher for active trainers in the general industry outreach program. Trainers are required to take this course every four years to stay current with OSHA standards and safety initiatives. Participants have the opportunity to:
Learn about the latest OSHA general industry standards, policies and regulations
Analyze interpretation letters that affect general industry
Improve training techniques
Renew their outreach trainer card
Update Part 1910 standards and selected topics discussed in the OSHA Course 501.
